What is the order of illions?
After a billion, of course, is trillion. Then comes quadrillion, quintrillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, nonillion, and decillion. One of my favorite challenges is to have my math class continue to count by "illions" as far as they can.
A quintillion is equal to 1 followed by 18 zeros, or a million trillions or a billion billions, or a million million millions. Quintillions, unlike quadrillions, exhaust economic usage entirely, and therefore are rarely seen outside science.

Then, you finally reach Millinillion. Repeat with those numbers to reach Billinillion. After that comes a Trillinillion, Quadrillinillion, Quintillinillion, Sextillinillion, Septillinillion, Octillinillion, Nonillinillion, and on...

With this definition, there is nothing (meaning: no real numbers) larger than infinity.

There's even a humongous number called vigintillion, a one with 63 zeros. But vigintillion is a shrimp compared to a googol. Googol? Notice how it's spelled: G-O-O-G-O-L, not G-O-O-G-L-E.

In our last blog, we discussed that we go from a million to a billion and then to a trillion. Now, after a trillion, there comes a number known as quadrillion, and then we have other numbers following it. These numbers are quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, nonillion, and decillion.
A nonillion is a real number. The number nonillion is a very large number which is written as a 1 followed by 30 zeroes! It looks like this: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Written out, a googol looks like this: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
