Rink Closed
I hear there’s no ice for 3 weeks apparently due to plant failure. Anybody know any more details?. Not good preparation for new season!!

Or perhaps a blessing in disguise that its happened now rather than already in to the new season? It may well give the maitenance staff there a chance to get the pad 'freshened up' as well.

agree with that - about time the adverts and lines were repainted. How about the netting getting a clean for once as well?

Unfortunately some things simply can't be helped. From what I understand, and I'm more than happy to be corrected, a part has failed which needs shipping and then fitting (possibly even manufaturing first?).
As Shotstopper said better now than part way through the season and it will give Dave and the team an opportunity to do the lines etc. Frustrating as it is parts fail sometimes, stuff happens

Heard last night they hope to have it sorted within two weeks !! Fingers crossed,
Not the ideal preperation for any team losing ice just before the start of the season, But I'm pretty sure PI dont want this either so lets not turn this into a pop at them as well..

Really pleased we're getting the ice relaid at last, and what a blessing that it didnt happen in the season.
What would amaze me, is getting the netting cleaned. But if we have 3 weeks down time, what a great chance to get it done!

I feel sorry for Planet Ice and the various coaches and teams. But it's better that it happens now, before the new season. (Obviously also better because I won't have to have as many lessons on hectic publics!) And I really hope they re-do the lines! (Especially the near-entrance circle.)

I have heard rumours that they have a replacement nylon net. I suppose (if true) it would would like the netting at Coventry?
Be nice if we came back for the new season and it was up there.
