Shirt Sponsorship 2012-2013.

It is with great pleasure that the Milton Keynes Lightning Supporters Club announce details for this seasons shirt sponsorship.

This season will be different to previous seasons, this year shirts will be available to sponsor at the same time as a player is announced as signing for MKL.

It has been decided that for the upcoming season both the Home and Away players shirts will be available for individual sponsorship again. This is your chance to have your name on the back of the shirt worn by your favourite player each time he steps onto the ice. At the end of the season, you will be presented with your shirt by the player and the shirt is yours to keep, the proud owners of the shirts will also have their names in the home match night programme and also have their names on the big screen above the benches and on www.mk-lightning.com !

Unfortunately with it being the close season it is very difficult to communicate this to everyone without using the internet, so could we ask that people spread the word about this so that as many people as possible get to know about it.

The cost of sponsoring a league shirt is the same as the previous two seasons £200.

We understand that this is a lot of money to part with in one hit, so we have come up with a payment plan for those who wish to spread the cost a little. To sponsor one shirt, we require £150 deposit to secure the shirt and get your name on it, and the balance of £50 to be paid by December 1st 2012. If you would like to sponsor 2 shirts, then a deposit of £200 secures the shirts and gets your name on it, with the balance of £200 to be paid by December 1st 2012..

This season after the success of the warm up shirts last season, there will also be warm up shirts up for sponsoring, the cost for sponsoring a warm up shirt will be £125.

The shirt designs will be revealed as usual at the Meet the Players Night at the Campanile Hotel.

Last season the supporters club raised in excess of £31,000 for MKL, shirt sponsorship went a long way into making this possible.

I've been thinking about this, and I quite like this approach. We all know what the deal is and when someone you want to sponsor is announced, you apply for the shirt.

You've just gotta take a chance that your favourite is coming back, or wait to see if someone new takes your fancy.
