Thunder add young forward

Thunder are pleased to announce that young forward Michael Whillock has agreed to join the team for next season. Whillock, a 19 year old product of Oxford and Swindon junior clubs spent last season playing in Germany for Bad Nauheim U20s where he averaged a point a game in the league.

Thunder coach Simon Howard talked of his latest signing;
"We are delighted to add Mike to our team for the forthcoming season. The NIHL is all about giving young guys a chance to play and hone their skills so they can move on to a professional career, and that's what we are offering in MK."
"Mike has represented GB at under 18 level and even more impressively played in Germany last year. It takes a big character to go and play and live in another country rather than take an easier option in the UK. This is a key reason, alongside Mike's obvious skill and potential as a player, why I wanted him for this season.
