Falcons reach semi finals at Swindon Tournament

The Falcons attended the annual women's frienship tournament in Swindon at the weekend. Although short benched with 8+1 players on Saturday and then 7+1 on Sunday managed to reach the semi finals only losing 2 games out of 11 on the way. To compound matters we only had 1 reconised D, Kirsty who was on the ice for 141 minutes of the 142(She took a 1 minute penalty for a rest)

We needed to draw or win against Bracknell in the last game to reach the semi's which we did but unfortunatley Nat injured her shoulder, meaning she was unable to play in the semi reducing the bench down to 6+1 against an unbeaten Solihull team with 13 skaters. The girls put everything into the 2x 10 minute game, but going down 4-0. A truly gritty performance.

Well done too to Bea and Millie, MK Storm players, who were part of the Ashfield Aces U16's girls team who won the girls tournament.
