Default Three more return . .

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the return of netminder David Cassidy, defenceman Matt Roberts, and forward Connor Goode. Talking about the signings coach Simon Howard had this to say:

"Having consistency and reliability in your net minders is a precious commodity in any team. The Thunder is fortunate to have a depth in this area and welcomes back Dave Cassidy for another season. Cass is a big part of the team and last year due to injuries was our number 1 guy which was reflected at the end of season awards night with three trophies to his name. Cass is developing fast as a netminder and is a guy who takes his performances seriously and judges himself harshly if he feels he has made an error which is a sign of a man striving to be better. Cass will be part of a stronger defence that will make us a tougher team to score against and will give confidence to the team for the upcoming season."

"Matty Robert's has a big year in front of him, not only for the Thunder but also as he becomes a married man this summer! A long time servant for the Thunder and last season's captain Matty has a big heart and wears it on his sleeve for all to see. I know speaking with Matty this summer he is excited about the season and is putting in a big effort to come back fitter and stronger than last season which can only mean one thing, big open ice hits and a big physical presence at the back for the Thunder."

"Connor is a great young talent and showed last season just how much he wants to progress as a player. Connor works hard off the ice and puts in extra training with the Lightning which really made him a better player last season. Connor is a powerful skater, can shoot and is not afraid to work the corners hard at both ends of the ice and just needs to add more experience and game play to become a more rounded player. I feel this season could be Connor's breakout year and I would not be surprised if, at the end of this season with a bag of goals under his belt, the EPL teams come knocking for his services next year."
