Location: F-block
Appearance: Am in a home Lightning shirt, with 11 KRATER on the back, or will be in a white shirt with THF on the front & BOWLER 72 ont he back. I'm hard not to miss I'm the one making noise, posing & annoying Jake & DJ!

Period 2, first 10 mins, usually chatting to F-Block Goal Gang, Tracy, mick, chris, Richard, Jo(Chatterbox ),and the lovely Katherine. :whistler: 2nd 10 mins, back on F-Block.

Break2, usually found at Supporters club table chatting to committee, and giving Pat C the "Verbals".

Period 3, F-Block, still making a racket. also breaking up dispute between Bowler, and DEEJ. ;)

Post match, in my "office", getting a beer before Icy sups the place dry. :whistler:

I'm usually dressed in my MKL tracksuit, with my name MOOSE, on the front, and sometimes for a laugh i wear my Blue/Yellow Viking hat, as it gets a laugh occasionally.

Period 2 I can be found next to the home bench or along tha side taking pictures.

Period 3 Back around at the disabled ramp or behind the goal.

In between the periods I can be found in a corner in the bar. :D
I usually wear a plain home Lightning shirt, but next season I will be wearing Dwayne's black away shirt that I bidded on at the end of last season.

Can't really miss me, big guys from Telford, yellow and black tracksuit top on, stood at the end of the players bench surrounded by towels, tape and water bottles on the bench divide.

Walk accross the ice at the end of the first, second and end of game (usually carrying something and listening to my wonderful song fro Jakes lot)

Then propping up the bar afterwards with the corner gang.

14 down only another 1986 supporters to go....... Where are they all......

Does this Ice Hockey forum ever get mentioned in the match programme, I have not noticed it before...... Perhaps it should be then the forum would get more inputs which has to lead to more ideas etc etc etc (as the King in the King and I would say !!!)

madking
05-28-2003, 01:06 PM
I did enquire about having some sort of advertising around the rink i.e. board adverts or ice advertisment and the prices, well you would need a very very deep pocket, as for the programmes I think its a case of if theres room that week, a lot of things to put in. I even contacted the citizen about prices for something on the sports pages, a banner or advert in there and was told the prices are a bit too high. :(

But will do something about it this forthcoming season as we need more people.

Bertie
05-28-2003, 01:18 PM
Wot about simply handing out leaflets at one of the home games, maybe the Claude Dumas testimonial would be a good one !

Easy to produce on a printer, or which can just be slipped into the programmes as a loose leaflet.... with something simple on like

"Want to chat, have your view on Ice Hockey in Milton Keynes, and also make new aquaintances - then join the family on MK Ice Hockey Forums
URL"

That should cost next to nothing I would have thought..... Surely it is the club who will benefit from the exposure and the ideas that it brings in for the future of the rink etc. Sold to them like that, we are all working as a team for the success of Planet Ice consortium - new ideas, increasing awareness fo the rink = £'s to them........... There happy, were happy !

I know, I go on a bit

The great thing about small rinks like ours is the friends you meet week after week for a 5 minute chat in the period breaks or during warm up. It not where you sit or stand, its about where you walk too!

nutter! i've seen people go through those type of doors during a game via a check! they're not the sturdiest!

i however can be located in f-block, or with the IOW fans like last weekend:D , which incidentally we were very much thanked for!

During the game, i'll be up in the F-block, during the period break, i'll usually be down at the disabled ramp(well, that area).

I'm always in the bar, just to the left of the neon Bar sign. Sometimes will go down rinkside if the ref needs to be shouted at (happens a lot!) or someone from the opposing team needs to be told how bad/ugly/useless they are

I will be wearing a #12 Samsonov Oilers Jersey for our first home game, until I get Newmans jersey for the season!!. I got short hair with a blonde patch (don't ask) and glasses. oh yeah a little overwieght lol. Theres me (Grant) with paul, gemma, caroline and dimmy. Dimmy is the one who tells me to stop yelling most of the time!!

Me and Lara are tended to be found in F block standing with the noisy ppl.

Used to wear a canucks shirt, but now usually have a red 'howie testemonial' shirt with KETOLA on the back either on me or tied round my waist, depending on how much running around i've done and how hot i've got.

During the breaks can also be seen sporting the bright yellow tops of a 50/50 seller! lol

For the one game we've been to this season, we've been true fickle glory hunters and chopped and changed ends so that we're at the same end as the visitor's keeper......

I am normally on F block or down by the ice opposite the dugouts when I am able to make it.

If I have come straight from watching Luton Town I tend to be frowning and looking miserable for the 1st period or so. Normally wear anything BUT Ice Hockey gear.
